About
the Bichon Frise Breed
Adams Bichons are adored, and valued as family.
They enjoy a huge fenced play yard as it safely allows them to enjoy
the outdoors.
Our Bichon Frise's even have their own mailbox!
Helpful Information on Bichon
Frise Dogs to Help Choose the Right Pet for your Family:
• Bichons are lapdogs;
hugs and strokes keep them happy and make them great pets.
• Bichons love their
humans; outdoor kenneling type isolation
is not acceptable for this dog.
• Bichons have cotton,
non-shed, non-allergic coats; and must
have haircuts every month (maintenance costs) to keep their
hair at a manageable length. You must brush your Bichon Frise every
few days. Groomers will not groom matted coats.
• Bichons are smart,
loving, and stubborn; they will control your
house if you are not a good trainer.
• Bichons can be hard
to potty train; crate training is essential.
• Bichons can be frightened
by small children under 5 years of age.
• Experienced breeders
temperance test (by observation) each litter
and can pick the best puppy for your family.
•The Bichon Frise Club of
American has developed a new website, chaired by Vickie Halstead from Minnesota,
and giving current health information for the Bichon Frise breed.
